The social networking site, Myspace has been used to promote artists, bands, television shows and even politicians, so why not a motorcycle? The legendary Indian motorcycle brand is expected back with it’s first model on the roads by fall 2008 and although they may have their factory in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, the company has also taken up residence on Myspace with 271 ‘friends’ at the time of writing. FANCY, co-writers of Justice’s hit song “D.A.N.C.E.,” has been setting France on fire with its hedonistic glam-filled rock and have been handpicked by their Parisian pals to spread the flame across North America on the upcoming MYSPACE MUSIC TOUR. The month-plus journey, will kick off in Austin, Texas on March 3, and also features Ed Banger Records’ Busy P and DJ Mehdi, and Philadelphia-based party starter Diplo on select dates. (more…)

A Rowan County school bus driver was arrested and charged Tuesday with unlawful transaction with a minor in an alleged incident involving a teenage boy.State police said Gary L. Clark, 46, of Elk Lick Road, Morehead, had been in contact with the boy through a MySpace.com profile.Police said he solicited the boy to meet him Saturday and allegedly coerced him into getting into his vehicle. There, “inappropriate actions” occurred, but police declined to elaborate. (more…)

MySpace is taking its original video strategy low-brow, even by MySpace standards. News Corp.’s social networking site announced its second original Web series, “Special Delivery,” which consists entirely of Candid Camera-style pranking of delivery employees. In the pilot, a pizza delivery guy is convinced to dance around like he would “for his lady,” in a boa. Wow, let’s hope they tip. (more…)

First, she stripped down to her bra and panties for pictures on the town’s firetruck for her MySpace page. Then, the town of Arlington, OR stripped Carmen Kontur-Gronquist of her job as mayor. Voters in Arlington, population about 500, voted narrowly on Monday night to recall Carmen Kontur-Gronquist. The tally was reportedly 142-139. City officials said the recall is effective Tuesday and at that time, the mayor will be looking for work. (more…)
